Dr. Shizuko Tomoda returns to her hometown of Hiroshima, Japan, to confront and better understand the most significant event in her family’s history: how her mother survived the atomic bombing on August 6th, 1945. This documentary explores a woman’s survival, a city that transformed itself into a beacon of peace, and a daughter caught in the ripples of the most destructive weapon in history.
